Bernard Buzzy Basch, President
Basch Subscriptions is based on the philosophy of quality serial service Buzzy developed during 30 years in senior management positions with Faxon, Turner and EBSCO. Buzzy has close connections with the library community and has held elected and appointed positions in SLA, ASIS, and ALA. He is a Fellow of SLA. Buzzy has undergraduate and graduate degrees in business from Washington University in St. Louis and serves on the national advisory committee for that university's Olin Library.
Buzzy Basch co-authored Buying Serials, A How-To-Do-It Manual for Librarians, published by Neal-Schuman Publishers, Inc. He is also author of numerous articles on serials management and has taught many courses and seminars on serials management topics and issues. Buzzy is an internationally recognized expert in subscription services management.
Kim Stewart, Operations Manager
Kim loves her job here at Basch! Every day brings new challenges and opportunities. Her responsibilities include managing daily operations including Customer Service, Publisher Services, Claims & Consolidation and Administration. Our Client Services staff are expertly trained to deliver superior and personalized customer service. Our Publisher Services department accurately researches publisher and title information, maintains the integrity of the information in our database, continually enters current subscription rates, coordinates timely payments to the publishers, and provides prompt resolution to missing issue claims. Her background includes years of customer service experience in the banking, real estate and manufacturing sectors.
Sean Goodell, Information Technology Manager
Sean has over 13 years of experience in Information Technology in both corporate and educational enviorments. He is responsible for the management of all information technology at Basch Subscriptions. Sean is excited to be part of the Basch family.
Phil White, National Sales & Marketing Manager
Phil has many years of experience in Sales, Marketing and corporate Management. His early career was spent in the computer printer industry as a software engineer. He was a Director for Fruit of the Loom for 10 years and has also held Director Positions in the educational community. A former Soccer and Basketball coach Phil really enjoys the people side of sales, motivating, training and coaching. When he has time to himself he enjoys spending time with his family, making pottery, cooking and playing guitar.
Steve Kochoff, Regional Sales Director
Steve has over twenty years of experience in library-related marketing and sales, fund-raising advocacy and public programs, with the majority of it in subscription service. Steve has held sales and marketing positions with LEXIS-NEXIS, Readmore/Blackwell, and Turner/Faxon. He was Director of Development, Programs and Public Relations for the Providence (RI) Public Library and began his career at the Chicago Public Library. Steve earned his MSLS from the University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana and his doctorate from Columbia University's School of Library Service where his dissertation won the George Virgil Fuller award for making a significant contribution to the field of library and information science.
Steve has been active in ALA and professional organizations. Steve is past Chair of the Special Libraries Association Business and Finance Division, and was served as President of the New York Chapter of SLA in 2008.
Janice McIntyre, Federal Contracts Manager
Janice has over 25 years experience in service, management, and sales to the library community. Having spent most of her career with Faxon, she has considerable experience in the Federal market, a thorough knowledge of procurement and acquisitions activities as they apply to the library market and a strong background in service delivery and client satisfaction. Janice enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and outdoor activities.
Laurie Schwed, Regional Sales Director
As the Sales Director for New England, the Western States and the South, I am responsible for attaining new business including medical, academic, corporate and public libraries. Prior to working at Basch I was a corporate recruiter for 10 years, specializing in sales and marketing. I was also responsible for the growth of the staff and promotion of the company. I spent three years studying marketing and commercial photography at New England College. I am an avid NASCAR fan and spend time with my husband and daughter riding ATV’s and enjoying outdoor activities.
Dolores Deneault, Regional Sales Director
I have over 20 years of experience in customer service, sales & marketing in many diversified industries. I am responsible for attaining new business including medical, academic, corporate, financial, public libraries & financial institutions, as well as my favorite part, which is finding solutions for potential clients to make their jobs easier and to save them time and money. I love working at Basch Subscriptions, what stands out the most to me is everyone’s drive to do all we can to give our clients superlative service and everyone at Basch cares about our clients, potential clients and each other, it is like going to work everyday with 40 friends all with the same goal and focus of our job at hand, and we all appreciate our clients and invite potential clients to experience the Basch difference. In my spare time I enjoy every moment with my husband of 22 years, my 3 incredible children, 2 dogs and my 2 cats.
Maureen Larabee, Quote Specialist
Maureen comes to us with over 20 years of accounting, management and customer service experience in various fields of industry. Her diverse background assists her in obtaining high standards and accuracy in her position of providing our clients with quotes. When she is not working, she loves to spend time with her husband and teenage daughter, Courtney.
Shelly Rogers, E-Resources Manager
A Basch Veteran Shelly has been with the company for over 7 years, with a primary focus on customer service, quality control and training.
Shelly heads up our E-Resource department here at Basch. Our e-resource team focuses on prompt set-up/activation of our customers E-journals, provides personalized tutorials to demonstrate our featured check-in module and BOSS system and works closely with our clients in the creation of Customized E-portals . Shelly looks forward to her continued relationships with our clients.
Francine Scandalis, On-line Specialist
I assist in setting up and maintaining online access to e-journals for our clients. . I enjoy helping clients get the most out of their online services. I have over ten years of medical experience, as well as working for Employment Security and the Concord District Court. Prior to joining Basch, I managed two offices, one in the medical field, and one in the private sector. I also work as a copywriter from my home. In my free time, I enjoy writing, reading, and playing video games, with my husband, Markus, and our three spoiled cats.
Christie Greenleaf, Assistant Client Services Manager
I have over seven years of experience here at Basch. I enjoy working closely with the staff to ensure our high standard of excellence in customer service is continually being met. And at the end of the work day I return home to my wonderful husband and 3 beautiful children.
Deanna Morrison, Client Services Representative
Deanna has been with Basch for over 3 years and services mostly goverenment clients along with a variety of other types of clients. She enjoys the relationships shes made with her clients and looks forward to many more years of her continued sucess here as Basch.
Katy Hogan, Client Services Representative
I have 10+ years in the customer service field and am responsible for managing all subscriptions for my list of clients which consist of wide variety of different institutions. I have been employed here at Basch for over 2 years going strong and my day to day tasks consist of invoicing, claiming, obtaining prices, and contacting publishers to resolve any issue my clients may have to ensure their satisfaction. Before my employment, here at Basch I have been a Customer Service Manager for telephonesystems.com and was then employed as an Assistant Manager for a telecommunications company also in New Hampshire. I enjoy spending time with my niece and nephew, family and friends.
Audrey Freshour, Client Services Representative
Audrey comes to Basch seeking a new adventure. She had previous human resource experience but was looking to expand her horizons .This “southern belle” brings many aspects & qualities to offer to her clients. She enjoys customer service and all the challenges the subscription industry offers. Audrey looks forward to many years of quality service to her clients.
Terri Morizzo, Client Services Representative
Terri came to Basch as a Client Services Representative and brought along with her over 35 years of experience in various industries. She is responsible for assisting clients with ordering new journals, assisting with claims for missing journals and the daily activities with managing her client’s accounts. Before Terri moved to New Hampshire 3 years ago from Massachusetts, she was a Catering/Social Sales Manager at a hotel and now resides in Concord with her fiance, Dick and her 2 cats, Mia and Charlie. She enjoys spending time with her 2 grown boys and also likes to go camping, fishing, bowling, walking & crafts also a good game of Poker or Rummy is always fun.
Melissa Moore, Client Services Representative
Barbara Daley, Client Services Representative
Barbara , brings over nine years of customer service experience to the basch customer service team. Barbara has an Associate in Information Technology degree and a BSBA in Business Management. Originally from Stoneham, Massachusetts, Barbara moved to Concord, NH after meeting her husband in 2007. She enjoys watching movies, reading Dean Koontz and Stephen King’s novels, kickboxing, and spending time with her husband Jason. She is happy to be at Basch Subscriptions and looks forward to providing superior service!
Becky Howland, Publisher Relations Specialist
My primary job function at Basch is providing research assistance to the quotes team and the customer service representatives. I also perform system maintenance, data entry, and work towards maintaining the overall integrity of our company’s database. In college I double majored in History and Art History. While working towards my degree, I spent many hours in the library researching various theses, which helped prepare me for my job here at Basch.
In my spare time I enjoy playing with my dog (a Jack Russell Terrier named Ajax), eating my favorite food (sushi), and maintaining a garden Mecca in the middle of the city of Concord.
Jessica Flanders, Claims and Consolidation Supervisor
I have an extensive customer service backround which allows me to provide the quickest most efficient responses from publisher when any of our clients miss an issue. Other than my responsibilities as the claims specialist, I am responsible for entering and updating subscriptions rates and title schedules. I recently married the love of my life this past year and we just purchased our first home together. I also love spending time with my five nieces and six nephews.
Danijela Sulejmanovic, Consolidation Specialist
My role is to assist our clients with claims for missing or damaged issues, managing the subscription renewal process, invoicing, placing orders with publishers, and assisting with online access. My previous work experience includes a Receptionist and an Assistant Manager. I have a degree in Administration, and I’m working towards my Bachelor degree in Psychology. In my free time I like to travel, dance, read, and spend time with my family and friends.
Marilyn Kroll, Administrative Assistant
Marilyn works part-time in the accounting area of Basch and she loves every minute of it! During her free time, Marilyn spends a lot of time with her granddaughter, gardening and quilting.
Michelle Horn, Accounting
Michelle has over 20 years experience in account receivable’s and collections. I enjoy working with the Basch team. The clients I have met have been a pleasure. The learning experience and opportunity here for the past year has been interesting. My time away I spend with family. I have three children and two very special grand children

Dolores Deneault, Marketing & Advertising Coordinator
I maintain and acquire new business for The Reference Shelf, a display service that attends 25+ library conferences annually. I also book print advertising for the Basch Subscriptions catalog as well as online advertising. I have over 20 years of sales experience with superior customer service.
