Meet the entire Basch Team!

Bernard Buzzy Basch, President
Basch Subscriptions is based on the philosophy of quality serial service Buzzy
developed during 30 years in senior management positions with Faxon, Turner and
EBSCO. Buzzy has close connections with the library community and has held
elected and appointed positions in SLA, ASIS, and ALA. He is a Fellow of SLA.
Buzzy has undergraduate and graduate degrees in business from Washington
University in St. Louis and serves on the national advisory committee for that
university's Olin Library.
Buzzy Basch co-authored
Buying Serials, A How-To-Do-It Manual for Librarians, published by Neal-Schuman
Publishers, Inc. He is also author of numerous articles on serials management
and has taught many courses and seminars on serials management topics and
issues. Buzzy is an internationally recognized expert in subscription services
management.

Meredith Ritchie, General Manager, Sales &
Marketing
Meredith brings over fifteen years of management and organizational experience
with her to administer the overall day-to-day operations of the Basch
Subscriptions, Inc. Publisher and Customer Service departments. Prior to
joining Basch Subscriptions, Meredith maintained a local law library. A
graduate of the University of New Hampshire, Meredith majored in foreign
languages.

Shelly Rogers, Account Relations Manager
Shelly has a strong background in research. She has done archival work for NOVA,
National Geographic and the Discovery Channel. She is excited to be involved
closely with the library community in a different capacity and looks forward to
her continued work with Basch Subscriptions.

Kim Stewart, Publisher Relations Manager
The Publisher Relations Department is responsible for researching publisher and title information,
maintaining the integrity of the information in our database,
entering current subscription rates, coordinating payments to the publishers,
and claims and consolidation. Prior to Basch,
I serviced clients in the Real Estate Industry and in
Customer Service Management in both the service and manufacturing environments.
My education is in Accounting and Business Administration. In my spare time,
I enjoy hanging out with my children, camping, and reading.

Christie Greenleaf, Client Services Representative
Having earned my degree in Marketing, I bring over five years of
customer service experience to Basch Subscriptions.
I have a loving husband and 2 beautiful children, my daughter, 6, and my son, 17 months.
They keep me so busy I don't have much time for any other interests.

Linda Hawkins, Operations Supervisor
Linda enjoys quality time with her husband and family. Some of her hobbies
include camping, gardening and hiking. She loves animals and enjoys watching
and feeding the wildlife around her home.

Steve Kochoff, Regional Sales Director
Steve has over twenty years of experience in library-related marketing and
sales, fund-raising advocacy and public programs, with the majority of it in
subscription service. Steve has held sales and marketing positions with
LEXIS-NEXIS, Readmore/Blackwell, and Turner/Faxon. He was Director of
Development, Programs and Public Relations for the Providence (RI) Public
Library and began his career at the Chicago Public Library. Steve earned his
MSLS from the University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana and his doctorate from
Columbia University's School of Library Service where his dissertation won the
George Virgil Fuller award for making a significant contribution to the field
of library and information science.
Steve has been active in ALA and professional organizations.
Steve is past Chair of the Special Libraries Association
Business and Finance Division, and was recently elected President of the

Janice McIntyre, Federal Account Manager
Janice has over 25 years experience in service, management, and sales to the
library community. Having spent most of her career with Faxon, she has
considerable experience in the Federal market, a thorough knowledge of
procurement and acquisitions activities as they apply to the library market and
a strong background in service delivery and client satisfaction. Janice enjoys
spending time with her family, cooking, and outdoor activities.

Laurie McGrail, Regional Sales Director
As the Sales Director for New England, the Western States and the South,
I am responsible for attaining new business including medical, academic, corporate
and public libraries. Prior to working at Basch I was a corporate recruiter for 10 years,
specializing in sales and marketing.
I was also responsible for the growth of the staff and promotion of the company.
I spent three years studying marketing and commercial photography at New England College.
I am an avid NASCAR fan and spend time with my husband and daughter riding ATV’s and enjoying outdoor activities.

Julian H. Jourard, Regional Sales Director
Prior to his appointment with Basch Julian served as the Regional Sales Manager
for National Technological University, promoting high-tech, engineering and
business courses to Fortune 500 corporations in the western states.
A veteran in the library services industry, Julian served as the Western
Marketing Manager for Readmore, then for Blackwell's Information Services from
1982 to 1998. He also worked as a Regional Sales for Moore-Cottrell
Subscription Agency.
Julian's longstanding experience in the industry and his expert ability in
client relations make him a valued addition to our sales staff.

Jennifer LaCrosse, Sales & Marketing Manager
The Reference Shelf
My primary responsibility is maintaining and acquiring new business for
The Reference Shelf, a display service at library conferences.
I am also responsible for the advertising for the Basch Subscriptions catalog.
I have a background in sales, marketing and customer service for the past fourteen years.
My greatest joy is spending time with my two beautiful daughters, Carly Jean (16) and Summer Amelia (14).
I enjoy time with my friends, cooking, motorcycles and working outside.

Amanda Nault, Quote Specialist
I have over 10 years of customer service with three years in a book
store handling sales and serving customers. My educational background is an associates degree in
Culinary Art and Science. I spend my spare time reading and collecting fairies and dragons.

Tiffany Dodier, Sales Coordinator
I provide support for all of the sales staff in whatever they need,
from handling and sending out quotes to making reservations and more.
I also make all of the arrangements for the conferences Basch Subscriptions
and the staff attend, along with answering the phones and other general office duties.
I graduated from Memorial High School in 2005 and am currently taking my
general education classes part time at the University of New Hampshire.
I am leaning toward a teaching degree.
I enjoy tinkering with my '85 GMC K1500 pickup (my daily driver).
I also enjoy cribbage and love to cook!

Deanna Morrison, Client Services Representative
Deanna comes to us with over five years customer service in various industries.
She enjoys doing research and problem solving. She looks forward to getting to
know our clients and helping make their experience with Basch enjoyable and
fun. She is a mother of three grown sons and has been married to her husband
Steve for over 17 years. She's a life long resident of New Hampshire who is
currently relocating to the Concord area. She enjoys spending time with her
pets, including her dog Jackson and her two cats Cali and Busta. Her hobbies
include crafting and camping. She looks forward to many fun years with us here
at Basch.

Danijela Sulejmanovic, Client Services Representative
As a Customer Service Representative, my role is to assist our clients with claims
for missing or damaged issues, managing the subscription renewal process,
invoicing, placing orders with publishers, and assisting with online access.
My previous work experience includes a Receptionist and an Assistant Manager.
I have a degree in Administration, and I'm working towards my Bachelor degree in Psychology.
In my free time I like to travel, dance, read, and spend time with my family and friends.

Rebecca D., Client Services Representative
As a client service representative at Basch, my tasks range from client account management
to research and financial responsibilities. Training in ways to improve customer service and efficiency
is of special interest to me.
I enjoy spending time outdoors, living in beautiful New Hampshire.
Photography is one way that I connect with nature.

Veronica Girard, Client Services Representative
With a background in Customer Service, my main responsibility at Basch is
managing client accounts, which involves obtaining requested subscriptions,
renewals, invoicing, claims and follow-up. I also deal with publishers.
I have an associates degree in Arts and am pursuing my bachelors at the University of New Hampshire
with a major in Communications and a minor in Social Work.
My personal goal is to complete my mother’s memoir and to send her to South Korea to reunite
her with her family. Professionally, my goal is to produce educational documentaries.

Katy Hogan, Client Services Representative
I am responsible for managing clients' titles and processing their orders.
Prior to working at Basch, I was a customer service manager for a telecommunications equipment company.
I enjoy spending time with my family, playing with my nephew, bowling, and horseback riding.

Tammy Montgomery, On-line Specialist
I am responsible for setting up and maintaining our clients' online accounts and e-journal access.
Prior to working at Basch, I was a medical secretary at a local hospital and
worked for an ABC Television Station in Colorado. I have an Associates Degree in
music, video, film, television and business. I spend my spare time
playing with my animals, hiking with husband and black lab, and reading.

Jessica Avery, Claims and Consolidation Specialist
My Customer Service background enables me to focus on the claims process
to make sure our customers get the quickest response from publishers. I am also responsible for
checking in and fulfilling orders for our consolidation customers. I love
spending time with my two nieces and two nephews and my little sister. When I
am not spending time with them I am studying to get my degree in Accounting and
Business Management.

Jaz Greywacz, Publisher Services Specialist
My responsibilities at Basch are to research the latest publication information
and apply it to our database, inquire about any title issues from customer service,
and research quotes and bids for new customers.
Prior to working at Basch, I was a freelance writer, an editor of coffee-house style magazines,
and was involved with customer management in the food and beverage industry.
I have an Associate Degree in Business Science and Communications
and a Certification in Creative Writing. My personal interests include the arts, theatre and literature.

Valerie Rago, Publisher Services Specialist
In Publisher Relations, I enter subscription rates, research publisher and title information,
process publisher payments, communicate with publishers and handle returned mail.
Prior to working at Basch, I handled payroll for a temporary staffing agency and worked as a bank teller.
Presently, I'm working on my Accounting degree.
I spend most of my free time with my two boys, driving around NH,
enjoying the scenery and going to the fairs.
